Safety and Reporting
Portals provides a report flow for harmful content or behavior where a Report action is available. If something crosses a line, use that route rather than trying to handle it publicly.
Use the in-product report flow
When you see a Report action:
- Select it while you are looking at the relevant person, game, item, or content.
- Sign in if Portals asks you to.
- Choose the reason that best fits the problem.
- Add a short factual description if it helps explain what happened.
- Submit the report.
Reports are private. The person you report is not notified with details about your report.
Write a useful report
Focus on what a reviewer can verify:
- where the content or behavior appeared;
- what happened;
- when it happened, if timing matters;
- the shortest steps another person could use to find the same problem;
- a screenshot or recording when it is safe and appropriate to share.
Avoid including passwords, private messages from unrelated people, or personal details that are not needed to explain the issue.
When there is no Report action
Use the Contact page to find the right support or trust-and-safety contact path. Include a link to the relevant game or page when you can, along with a short factual description.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
If you are a creator
Give players a clear way to leave, avoid building key progress around unwanted communication, and treat reports as a safety path rather than a public debate. If a player reports a problem to you directly, do not ask them to expose private information in a public channel.
For a normal product or building issue, use Getting Help instead.
