Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you can and cannot do on Portals. It applies to all User Content and all behavior on the Services, and is part of our Terms of Service.

Our Community Guidelines give a friendlier, more practical overview of how to behave in social features. Where the two conflict, this AUP controls.

You may not create, upload, publish, share, or distribute User Content that:

• Sexually exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
• Is pornographic, sexually explicit, or that depicts sexual conduct.
• Glorifies, promotes, or provides instruction for real-world violence, terrorism, self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
• Depicts gratuitous real-world gore, torture, or cruelty.
• Constitutes hate speech or harassment directed at people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or serious disease.
• Facilitates real-money gambling, sports betting, lotteries, or prize contests involving wagering real funds or items of real-world value.
• Promotes the sale of firearms, explosives, illegal drugs, or other regulated goods.
• Infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights. See our DMCA Policy for copyright complaints.
• Contains malware, ransomware, phishing, deceptive redirects, or similar harmful code.
• Contains personal or confidential information about another person without their consent (doxing).
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading in a material way.
• Violates any applicable law.

Some creative content includes elements that are not appropriate for all audiences, such as stylized combat, strong language, or dark themes, but does not fall within the prohibited categories above. If your User Content contains any of the following, you must self-rate it as Mature:

• Stylized or cartoon violence beyond mild comic effect.
• Frequent strong language.
• Intense horror, psychological distress, or frightening imagery.
• Suggestive (but non-explicit) themes.
• Depiction of the use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs.

Content tagged Mature is only shown to Users confirmed as 18 or older. Mis-rating your content (under-rating to increase reach, or over-rating to discourage discovery of allowed content) is a violation of this AUP.

You also agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, impersonate, or intimidate another person.
• Engage in any form of sexual contact with or grooming of minors.
• Share unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or chain messages.
• Create Accounts by automated means or in bulk, or operate multiple Accounts to evade bans or manipulate ratings, reviews, or discovery.
• Manipulate Marketplace rankings, reviews, purchases, or payouts, including through wash-trading or shill purchases.
• Use the Services to launder funds, evade sanctions, or finance illegal activity.
• Collect other Users’ information without their consent (scraping, harvesting, profiling).
• Impersonate Portals, our staff, or any other person or organization.

You agree not to:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services except through our disclosed security channels.
• Interfere with the Services through denial-of-service attacks, excessive load, or other disruptive techniques.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Services, except to the extent applicable law expressly allows.
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or technical protection measures.
• Use the Services’ APIs in a way that violates our API terms or documentation.

Report security issues to security@theportal.to. Acting in good faith to report vulnerabilities is allowed under our responsible disclosure practice; malicious exploitation is not.

Additional rules apply when you use the AI Lab:

• Do not submit prompts that attempt to generate prohibited content listed above, including CSAM, non-consensual sexual imagery, or content depicting real people in sexual or harmful scenarios.
• Do not use AI Outputs to deceive others about a real person’s identity, statements, or actions in a way that could cause harm.
• Do not use the AI Lab to generate content that infringes third-party intellectual property.
• Follow any additional rules imposed by third-party AI providers we disclose.

If we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that you have violated this AUP, we may:

• Remove or restrict access to the offending User Content.
• Warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate your Account.
• Withhold or claw back Creator payouts tied to the violation.
• Report the violation to law enforcement where required.

We consider severity, intent, history, and context when deciding how to respond. Severe violations — including CSAM, credible threats of violence, or attacks on the Services — may result in immediate termination and reporting without notice.
