Blink Light
A Blink Light is a local light that repeatedly turns on and off. Use it for a warning beacon, a dance-floor accent, a moving-route cue, or a scene that needs a little motion.
Set up a blink light
- Place a Blink Light from Tools.
- Set its color, brightness, and range as you would a normal light.
- Choose a Blink Interval for the pause between flashes.
- Choose a Blink Duration for how long each flash stays on.
- Test it in the actual room lighting before adding more.
Only night works here too. Turn it on for a night-only beacon or leave it off when a player should see the cue in both states.
Make the rhythm readable
Use a longer interval for a calm decorative pulse. Use a short interval and a clear color only when you need to call attention to a hazard or a goal. Several unrelated blink patterns in one view are difficult for players to read.
