Build Your Game

Build player paths, place items, and configure the world with visual creator tools.

Movement

SettingsMovement lets you create named movement profiles for a space. A profile defines how a player moves through the whole experience. Use a separate profile when a platform course should feel different from a social lobby or exploration space.

Create and choose a profile

  1. Open Settings, then Movement.
  2. Use Movement to add a profile and give it a descriptive name.
  3. Open the new profile and change one group at a time.
  4. Choose it under Current Movement Profile when it should be the active default.
  5. Test the entire player route, not only one jump.

New profiles start with a moderate movement setup. Treat those starting values as a baseline to test, not as a finished genre preset.

Profile controls

Group Controls What they change
View and control Force First Person, Enable Ledge Grab, Player Collisions, Walk By Default, Strafing, Rotate Player With Camera How the player view and basic controls behave.
Ground speed Walk Speed 0–8, Run Speed 0–30, Sprint Speed 0–30 How quickly a player travels on the ground.
Jump and air Jump Height 0–20, Jump Time 0–5, Allow Jumps, Air Speed 0–20, Extra Gravity -50–0, Use Platformer Movement How a jump starts, moves through the air, and lands.

Make changes in a useful order

  1. Set Walk Speed, Run Speed, and Sprint Speed for the scale of the space.
  2. Set Jump Height and Jump Time for the widest gap a player must cross.
  3. Adjust Air Speed and Extra Gravity only after a basic jump works.
  4. Choose camera behavior with Camera, then retest the same route because the view changes how difficult movement feels.
  5. Test stairs, slopes, ledges, and a full route from the intended spawn.

Example: a short platform route

For a short platform section, create a profile named “platform route.” Keep Allow Jumps on, test one safe jump, then make only one change at a time to height, time, air speed, or gravity. Turn on Use Platformer Movement only after the basic route is clear and you can compare the result with the original profile.

Use a new profile rather than overwriting a working one while you explore a different movement feel. That makes it easy to return to the known-good version.
