Pistol
The Pistol is a flexible gun pickup for a small combat space. Place it from Tools > Guns, then tune it around the route and target health values in your game.
Start with a simple pickup
- Choose Pistol in the Guns picker and place it where a player can reach it safely.
- Decide whether players collect it by collision or by your own interaction flow.
- Set a clear damage, range, and fire-rate baseline.
- Test one player against the targets you expect them to face.
- Test the same pickup with more than one player if it is shared.
Important setting groups
- Damage and range control close-range damage, long-range damage, the distances where damage changes, and the maximum range.
- Ammo controls a finite or infinite supply, clip size, starting load, reload time, automatic reload, and one-by-one reloads.
- Recoil and camera control aim stability and horizontal or vertical kick.
- UI controls the crosshair, hit feedback, and ammo display.
- Collection Behavior controls collision pickup and whether the pickup is shared as a single collection.
- Sound and Cosmetic let you tune audible range, shot/reload volume, and the pickup's visual appearance.
Balance pass
Change one group at a time. First establish damage and range, then ammo and reload feel, then recoil. A Pistol that seems balanced in an empty room can feel very different around cover or a Combat NPC.
See Rifle for a longer-distance option and Shotgun for close-range spread.
