Build Your Game

Build player paths, place items, and configure the world with visual creator tools.

Combat NPC

Use Combat NPC to place an enemy character that can detect, pursue, and attack players. Build one encounter first, verify its space and settings, then repeat that pattern for a larger arena.

Add an enemy

  1. Open Tools and choose Combat NPC.
  2. Choose a supplied character option, paste a compatible character model URL, or upload a model.
  3. Place the enemy in a clear test area.
  4. Select it and configure health, detection distance, attack distance, and movement settings.
  5. Enter the room as a player and test the encounter from start to finish.

Tune in this order

1. Health and visibility

Set Starting Health and decide whether the health bar should be visible. Make the enemy easy to recognize before you tune combat. A player should be able to see where the encounter starts and which direction is safe.

2. Detection and spacing

Use Detect Distance, Distance To Lose Target, and Field Of View to control when the enemy notices a player. Keep the first test values modest so you can see the boundary in action.

3. Attack behavior

Tune attack count, damage, attack distance, delay, and speed together. Change one value at a time, then repeat the same test run. This is much more reliable than changing every combat value at once.

4. Recovery and reset

Configure health recovery, whether the enemy revives after defeat, and its default behavior. Test what happens when a player leaves the area and returns.

Build a fair first encounter

  • Leave enough open space for players to see the enemy and move around it.
  • Put a spawn point outside the immediate attack area.
  • Add a clear visual landmark before the encounter.
  • Test with the same movement and weapon setup that players will have.

For a non-combat character, use NPC. For a breakable prop, use Destructible.
