Elemental
Use Elemental for a resizable surface with an animated material, such as water, lava, or an environmental effect. It is useful when a normal 3D Shape would look too static.
Add an elemental surface
- Open Tools and choose Elemental.
- Pick one of the supplied presets or provide a texture source.
- Place it in the scene.
- Scale and rotate it to fit the shoreline, pit, or decorative area.
- Test it from the player path and near the edge.
Design for clarity
Use a surface texture that tells the player what it is. A bright moving lava surface reads differently from calm water. If a surface is part of gameplay, add visible rails, signs, or a Trigger Cube so players understand its purpose before stepping into it.
Test checklist
- Is the surface aligned with the surrounding ground or wall?
- Does its scale look natural from the player camera?
- Are the boundaries clear at day and night?
- Does it support the route instead of hiding a jump or edge?
