UI
Use Settings → UI to choose which player-facing controls appear in the space. These settings change visibility, not the underlying item or task behavior. Leave Build Mode and test the result from a player's screen.
Visibility controls
| Control | What a player sees |
|---|---|
| Show Name Tags | Other players' name tags. |
| Show Music | The music button when the space has room music. |
| Show Emotes | The emote control. |
| Show Text Chat | The space text-chat control. |
| Show Mic Button | The microphone control. |
| Show Space Info | The top-left space information and status cluster. |
Choose an intentional interface
For a guided single-player experience, reduce optional controls only when the world itself makes the next action clear. For a social experience, keep the communication and identity controls visible so people can find one another.
Show Text Chat is the same space-level chat choice as Disable Text Chat in Voice & Comms, expressed with the opposite wording. Change it in one place, then check the other panel before assuming the two controls are separate settings.
Test checklist
- Join from the normal spawn with the intended camera state.
- Check the top-left and bottom interface areas at more than one display size.
- Verify that a custom greeting, important media screen, or world instruction does not compete with the controls you left visible.
- If the space uses music or voice, test those controls together with Music & Room Audio and Voice & Comms.
