Video
Use Video to place an MP4 video screen in a room. It is useful for a trailer, an announcement, a looping scene detail, or a presentation that belongs in one location.
Add a video
- Open Tools and choose Video.
- Paste a direct MP4 URL, or upload an MP4 file.
- Select Save, then place the video screen in the world.
- Select the placed screen to tune its frame, emission, and audio falloff.
- Test from the distance where players will first see and hear it.
Use the URL of the actual MP4 file, not a page that embeds a video from another service.
Placed-video settings
- Frame adds or removes the screen border.
- Emission changes the apparent brightness of the screen.
- Sound falloff start is where the screen's sound starts becoming quieter.
- Sound falloff end is where the sound has faded out.
- URL lets you review or change the source used by that placed screen.
Keep the start distance smaller than the end distance. Test with another player near the screen and another farther away; the goal is to make a local screen feel local, not to fill the entire room with audio.
Example: add a lobby trailer
- Put an MP4 trailer on a wall facing the entry area.
- Set a modest emission value so its picture is visible without washing out the room.
- Choose a short local audio range.
- Walk from the spawn toward the screen and back away again.
For a shared room soundtrack, use Music and Room Audio.
