Change Bloom

What it does

Changes the bloom presentation applied to the local view.

Required item compatibility

Add it through a compatible item that shows this effect in its Tasks panel.

Setup

  1. Select the item that should perform this effect.
  2. Add Change Bloom to the task state where it should run.
  3. Configure the settings below and test the player path from the task’s starting state.

Settings

Setting What it means
Bloom Intensity Strength of the glow.
Bloom Diffusion Spread or softness of the glow.
Bloom Clamp Maximum brightness allowed for the glow.

Tiny example

Entering a dream scene increases bloom for the active task state.

Test and troubleshoot

  • Start with modest values and test against the room lighting.
  • Add a return state so the player can leave the altered presentation.
