Build no-code gameplay with tasks, triggers, effects, values, and player feedback.

Stop Video

What it does

Stop Video stops the selected Video item, returns it to the beginning, and pauses it. Use it when a task should explicitly close a trailer, screen, or cutscene moment.

Required item compatibility

Select a placed Video item. Its Tasks panel offers Stop Video.

Setup

  1. Select the placed Video item.
  2. Add Stop Video to the state that should stop playback.
  3. Add the trigger that reaches that state.
  4. Test playback, stop, and restart in order.

Settings

Stop Video has no extra public settings.

Tiny example

Leaving a viewing zone changes Trailer from Active to Not Active and stops the screen at its beginning.

Test and troubleshoot

  • Confirm that the selected Video item has a playable direct MP4 source.
  • Use Play Video After Stopped to restart it.
  • Test the full task transition; a different effect cannot stop a Video item.
