Physics: Toggle Gravity
What it does
Physics: Toggle Gravity sets whether gravity is on or off for the selected item when the task runs.
Required item compatibility
Select a physics-capable shape or 3D model that offers this effect in its Tasks panel. The effect can create temporary physics when needed. Turn on Has Physics in item settings when the item should begin with physics enabled or retain that authored setup.
Configure it outside Build Mode, then test it in normal play.
Setup
- Select the physics-enabled item to control.
- Add Physics: Toggle Gravity to the task state where gravity should change.
- Choose whether gravity should be on, then test from the task's starting state.
Settings
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Use Gravity | When on, the item falls. When off, it can float. |
Tiny example
A puzzle button turns off gravity for a floating platform, then another task turns it back on.
Test and troubleshoot
- Despite its name, this setting chooses a gravity state; it does not simply reverse the current state.
- Turning gravity off does not stop movement already in progress.
- Pair it with Physics: Stop Motion for a more controlled hover.
- Test falling and floating behavior with a second player in a live room before publishing.
