Lock Movement

What it does

Stops and locks local player movement while the effect is active.

Required item compatibility

Add it through a compatible item that shows this effect in its Tasks panel.

Setup

  1. Select the item that should perform this effect.
  2. Add Lock Movement to the task state where it should run.
  3. Configure the settings below and test the player path from the task’s starting state.

No extra public settings.

Tiny example

A dialogue task becomes Active and locks movement until the player completes the conversation.

Test and troubleshoot

  • Always include Unlock Movement in an exit or completion state.
  • Test after opening every possible path into the locked task.
