Lock Avatar Change

What it does

Prevents the local player from opening the avatar-change interface while the effect is active.

Required item compatibility

Add it through a compatible item that shows this effect in its Tasks panel.

Setup

  1. Select the item that should perform this effect.
  2. Add Lock Avatar Change to the task state where it should run.
  3. Configure the settings below and test the player path from the task’s starting state.

Settings

No extra public settings.

Tiny example

A cutscene task becomes Active and locks avatar changes until the player reaches its end.

Test and troubleshoot

  • Pair it with Unlock Avatar Change or a task state that restores normal controls.
  • Test the full path so players are not left unable to change their avatar.
